Our Story
Last Best Builders was founded with one goal: to take the chaos out of construction. After seeing too many projects delayed by poor communication and unreliable crews, we set out to build a company that homeowners and contractors could count on.
From our early days working on small remodels to today’s custom home builds across the Gallatin Valley, we’ve stayed focused on providing clear communication, dependable crews, and quality results — every time.

Last Best Builders is led by owner Soren Mundt, who brings years of experience in general contracting, framing, and siding to every project. Soren’s hands-on approach ensures projects stay organized, on budget, and completed to the highest standards.
Max Taylor
CEO
Rooted in the Gallatin Valley since 2006, Max has built a fulfilling life both professionally and personally. He brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, blending skill and dedication to every project he undertakes. Max takes great pride in the growth and success of Last Best Builders, valuing the strong, dedicated team of people he works with every day. Together, they build more than just structures—they create lasting relationships and quality craftsmanship that stand the test of time.
Outside of work, his love for the outdoors is evident in his enthusiasm for bird hunting, skiing, and biking—pastimes he shares with his wife and loyal dog.
